Developmental issues refer to delays in the formation of kids’ abilities. These can include delays in language, motor skills and coordination, cognitive skills, or social skills, and are often determined based on specific milestones, including:
Sitting up without assistance at the age of 1
Saying simple phrases by the age of 2
Cooperating with other children at the age of 4
Variation in reaching these and other milestones are common but may indicate developmental issues. Most developmental issues can be identified by the time a child has reached their second birthday.
